Do your products contain GMO's ?
 No. Walls recognises that whilst the technology of genetic modification may offer a number of benefits, you may have reservations about the use of such novel scientific techniques. So where possible we have removed all ingredients derived from either soya or maize. But where we have to use these ingredients, we will purchase from suppliers that can prove that the origination of the soya or maize is conventional, i.e. non- GM
I am allergic to wheat, can I eat your sausages?
 Sorry but no, most sausages contain rusk which is wheat-based. This means that those with a gluten allergy should avoid eating sausages.

 Wall's have been making sausages since 1786 so are experts in the art of sausage making. We make to a secret recipe, which guarantees that each sausage will taste great.

Can I freeze Wall's Micro-Sausages?
 Yes - this product must be frozen on the day of purchase as long as there is 2-3 days shelf life left. Use within one month. Re-heat as directed on pack.
Can I cook Wall's sausages in the oven?
 Yes - either refer to instructions on back of pack or follow the guidelines below.
Fresh Sausages
Place sausages on a baking tray in a pre-heated oven at 190°C, 375°F, Gas mark 5 for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally. For fan assisted ovens, adjust cooking times according to manafacturer's handbook.
Frozen SausagesPlace sausages on a baking tray in a pre-heated oven at 180°C, 350°F, Gas mark 5 for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally. For fan assisted ovens, adjust cooking times according to manafacturer's handbook.
Do I need to defrost Wall's Frozen sausages before cooking them?
 No, they should be cooked straight from the freezer. Follow the cooking instructions on the back of the pack which give full details. Please ensure the sausages are thoroughly cooked before eating.
Can I freeze Wall's Fresh sausages?
 Yes. Freeze on day of purchase but use within one month and on day of defrosting.
Having frozen Wall's Fresh sausages, how should I cook them?
 Defrost in fridge, and use within 24 hours. Cook as fresh sausages.
Why are sausages called "bangers"?
 During the Second World War, sausages contained so much water they exploded, when fried, with a bang.
Why does your packaging say "for best results, do not prick skin"?
 Pricking sausages reduces succulence and increases splitting.
Are Wall's sausages peanut free?
 Yes
Can I buy Wall's sausages abroad?
 Sorry but Wall's are only available in the UK.
Why are fresh sausages joined together?
 When they are made the skin is filled with the sausage meat, and then a twist added between each sausage. For fresh sausages we don't cut them into individuals but package them in links of eight.
What's in a "Cumberland" sausage?
 They tend to have a more peppery and spicy flavour than standard sausages. This is because coarse black and/or white peppe, and sometime cayenne is added to the sausage mixture. In addition, nutmeg and other spices may also be added. Cumberland sausages are also sold as rings or coils.
