The Good Old British Banger
Over the centuries thousands of sausage varieties have been created by butchers and chefs the world over. As far back as 9BC the Greeks had already established sausages as a standard food item.
In the Odyssey, Homer says, " During the Middle Ages, sausages were an everyday dish and during the reign of Elizabeth I in 1580, a reference speaks of a "pudding called sawsege" the contents of which were "stuffed into skins and sometimes rolled in flour". Our ongoing love affair with Wall's take on these specially seasoned, delicately chopped succulent pork sausages, coupled with Royal Patronage over the years, means that Wall's truly do make The Good Old British Banger like no other. Not to mentions some really tasty Brilliant Bacon. |
